The prompt for this week's Gussy Sews Inspirational Workshop is "favourite recipe," and it was an easy choice for me! Ok, I have a lot of favourite recipes, but the one that I've been craving the most (as the weather here turns c-c-cold) is my Grandma's whole wheat pancakes!
Wheat Berry Blender Pancakes
3/4 c. wheat berries
1 c. milk
2 eggs
2 Tbsp honey
1/4 c. oil
2 Tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
- Blend the wheat berries and milk together in a blender for 4 minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients and blend for a few seconds, until mixed.
- Fry on a lightly greased medium-hot grill or frying pan
- Eat it! (I like mine with whipped cream or yogurt and berries, but they're great with good old fashioned butter and syrup too!)
I know what I'm having for lunch! Maybe I'll come back and actually post some pics of my own :)
I love pancakes and these look so easy! :)
